Nora Dikaios

Nora Dikaios is a co-founder of PowerImage Services Ltd, and a Partner in MISCO Cyprus. An experienced and innovative business professional with a 37 year proven record of accomplishment.

Born in Nicosia, Cyprus, she graduated the Kykko Pancyprian Gymnasium for Girls. She studied Business Management, in London and participated in many seminars and business courses in Cyprus and abroad, covering topics on Business Management, Exports, Marketing and Investments.

Nora has started her career in 1971, at the family founded business of Frou Frou Biscuits being a member of the Administration Management. In 1977 she became a member of the Board of Directors of the Company. During the years 1984 and 2000 she became the Export and Marketing Director of the Organisation, promoting exports of the locally manufactured products (“Frou Frou” Biscuits and later on the “Golden Choice” Breakfast Cereals) to countries in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and North America. At the same time through foreign Trade Exhibitions she achieved agreements with important international organizations for importing their foodstuffs and confectionery products in Cyprus.

In 1998 with the acquisition by Frou Frou, of Spinney’s Cyprus Ltd, from her position as the Marketing Director of the Group, manages and develops further the product portfolio of the company. As a Marketing Professional, planning and leading comprehensive marketing strategies she demonstrated successful driving growth, in targeted markets through implementation of key projects for products such as Frou Frou Biscuits, Cadbury Chocolates and Biscuits, Rio Mare, Stimorol, Lindt, Pez, Sharwoods and many others.

The development of the Company business allowed its flotation in the year 2001 to the Cyprus Stock Exchange. Through the years 2000 to 2007 Nora is a member of the Executive Management team of the Organization and the Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Public Company. From her position she contributed in the creation and launch of the new Breakfast Cereals Products “Golden Choice” in the year 2002 and their further development.

Nora is a Member of the Cyprus Federation of Business and Professional Women (B.P.W Cyprus), a Member of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Directors (Cyprus Branch) (IoD), and to date a Member of the Board of Directors of Frou Frou Group of Companies and Member of the Board of Directors of its subsidiaries Frou Frou Cereals Ltd, Frou Frou Investments Ltd, Haris M. Hadjikyriacos (Holdings & Management) Ltd, Spinney’s Cyprus Ltd, Athalassa Farm Ltd.

Stephanie Dikaiou

Stephanie is the Founder of PowerImage Services Ltd and a partner in MISCO Cyprus. She has an extensive marketing background and experience in presenting on corporate identity and branding issues to groups such as sales force, marketing staff, and employees who deal with visitors and prospective clients. Stephanie has a degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Bentley College School of Business, in Massachusetts USA. Stephanie is also a Certified Master Coach in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP – the study of excellence). She has been trained by one of the Top Coaches' Trainers in the UK, Ian McDermott. She is also a Certified Professional Presence Specialist by the London Image Institute and conducts corporate and individual consultations, as well as seminars on Professional Presence. Stephanie has been involved in the development and coaching of individuals and teams. Her experience since 2000 includes corporate identity building and strategic marketing planning for large corporations. She is working as a coach and consultant to owners, directors, senior executives, partners in professional practices and line managers and has coached all kinds of individuals for their career development and for living a fulfilling personal life.

Stephanie is specialised in topics such as communication, customer care, personal excellence, and coaching. As a trainer, she is friendly, approachable, full of positivity, and initiates group participation and involvement. As a coach, working in direct trusting partnership with her clients, Stephanie has a confidential, friendly, informal but highly objective basis, with a flexible approach to corporate achievement through personal growth of individuals and teams.

With no single methodology and a flexible approach, Stephanie is specific in meeting client needs through clear client led objectives. Being able to quickly grasp and filter specific client business characteristics ensures corporate performance outputs are improved through personal development, unlocking fuller potential over a defined period of time. Her coaching methods provide clients with new insights into how they can manage themselves, their bosses, colleagues and clients.

Joseph X. Zahra

Joseph FX Zahra is a co-founder and Managing Director of MISCO (Market Intelligence Services Co. Ltd.), with special responsibilities for the People Management and Development Unit of the Company, Managing Director of Misco International Ltd., and Director of Impetus Europe Consulting Group Ltd.

Joe graduated from University of Malta with a First Class Honours Degree in Economics (1976) and a Masters Degree in Economics (1979), specialising in Managerial Economics. He is also a Chartered Marketer, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, besides being a member of the Market Research Society (U.K.). He has attended and addressed numerous seminars on industrial development, managerial economics, financial services and management all over Europe as well as in North America. He is a fellow member of the Salzburg Seminar on “Technology and Structural Unemployment” (1986).

Joe Zahra, after having spent short spells with Lufthansa Ag. in their Head Office in Cologne, Germany, as an internal auditor (1975) and as a Personal Assistant to the General Manager of a Hawker Siddeley subsidiary in Malta (1977), joined the Malta Development Corporation as Head of Research (1978 – 1984). Since 1984 he has been a regular visiting lecturer at the University of Malta and the Universita’ degli studi di Messina teaching micro economics, management and managerial economics.

He has held various public positions including those of Secretary to the UNIDO National Committee (1978 –1984), member of the Malta Export Award Scheme (1979 – 1984), Board Member of the Central Bank of Malta (1992 – 1996), Board Member of the Malta Development Corporation (1995 – 1997), Chairman, Bank of Valletta plc (1998 – 2004), Chairman of Maltacom plc (2003), Chairman of the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts (2002-2003), Chairman, Middlesea Valletta Life Assurance Co. Ltd (1998 – 2004), Chairman, BOV Stockbrokers Ltd (1998 – 2004), Chairman Valletta Fund Management Ltd (1998 – 2004), Deputy Chairman, Middlesea Insurance plc (1998 – 2004) and Director of the same company (2005- ), member representing Government on the Retail Price Management Board (1995 – 1999), President, Mediterranean Bank Network (1998 – 1999), Director, Progress Assicurazione Spa (2001- ), Director, Corinthia Hotels International Ltd., Member, Committee of Guarantee of Maltese Heritage and Culture (2000-2005), Council member of the Chamber of Commerce (2001-2002), Chairman of the Financial Services Trade Section, Member of the Economic Affairs Sections and member of the EU Affairs Unit of the Chamber of Commerce (1993 – ).

In June 2005, Joe Zahra was apppointed by Government Chairman of the National Euro Changeover Committee.

Joe Zahra has a keen interest in the visual arts and literature, being the author of a book of verse and a writer of plays.

Lawrence Zammit
M.A.(ECON.)

Lawrence Zammit is a Director of MISCO. He studied Economics at the University of Malta where he graduated with Second Class Honours in 1976 and M.A. in 1980.

He has worked extensively in sales and marketing management in both the manufacturing as well as the services sector. As such he was responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies including marketing research, new product development and marketing communications.

At MISCO, Lawrence Zammit has developed the market research division of the organisation and has directed a number of local and foreign research assignments. Such research projects included social surveys, consumer surveys, business-to-business research, product testing and pricing research. His training experience incluces public sector organisations and the Public Service as well as private sector companies, at senior, middle and junior management levels.

He conducts MISCO Training programmes on a regular basis on management and marketing topics, such as leadership, communication, team building, marketing research and marketing communications.

He also acts as a consultant to a number of business organisations, both in the private and public sector.

Lawrence Zammit has held a number of appointments. He was Chairman of the Malta Development Corporation, the Employment and Training Corporation, Malta International Airport Plc. and of Interprint Ltd. He is currently Chairman of Air Malta as well as a member of the Board of Directors of International Hotels Investments plc, Vilhena Funds Sicav plc, Big Bon Finance plc, and Mariner Finance plc. He is also a member of the European Society of Opinion and Market Research and the Market Research Society of the United Kingdom.

Anthony Carabott
BA (HONS) BUSINESS MANAGEMENT


Anthony Carabott is General Manager of the MISCO organisation. He read Business Management at the University of Malta where he graduated with upper second class honours in 1989. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of MISCO International Ltd. The activities of these two companies incorporate Training, Recruitment, Consultancy, Business Reports and Marketing Research.

Anthony joined MISCO in 1989 as a Research Executive and was promoted to Research Manager in 1991. He worked extensively in all the activities of MISCO. In 1998 he was appointed General Manager of the company.

Anthony is a board member of the Water Services Corporation.

He has received extensive training in management, locally and abroad, He spent on-the-job training at the Middle East Marketing Research Bureau (MEMRB International) in Cyprus and attended programmes organised by Tack Training International and the Market Research Society of the United Kingdom.

Anthony has worked for the Public Sector during his student days and was assigned duties at the then Public Works Department and Inland Revenue Department. He also spent time working in a construction firm with other varied interests as an Accounts clerk.

Anthony has designed and coordinated an extensive range of marketing research services for various prestigious local and international organisations, including multinationals and worldwide franchises. He has advised clients and provided recommendations of a marketing, distribution and operations nature.
