NORA DIKAIOS
BUSINESS CONSULTANT

Nora Dikaios is a co-founder and Managing Director of PowerImage Services Ltd. As a consultant, she is an experienced and innovative business professional with many years proven record of accomplishment and her expertise focuses on business planning and marketing as well as on organisation and restructuring. Born in Nicosia, Cyprus, she studied Business Management in London and attended many seminars and business conferences in Cyprus and abroad, covering topics on Management, Exports, Marketing and Investments.

Nora Dikaios is a business consultant with a track record for helping companies to develop change strategies. For the past three years she has undertaken a variety of consultancy assignments for clients in the private sector advising on organisation design changes and performance management. She has carried out various projects in business development and restructuring, and chairs when necessary Boards of Directors in her role as leader of restructuring projects.

She also works as a marketing consultant for a number of companies that need to carry out campaigns, to introduce and develop new or innovative products in the market. She advises companies to focus their marketing and sales efforts where they are most likely to succeed helping them in defining and achieving their objectives and works with them closely to create strategic marketing plans assisting in their implementation.

She led market surveys on customer care evaluations for a number of clients and surveys on employee attitudes helping organisations and employees to maximise their potential. Through her past experience and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Directors (Cyprus Branch) Nora Dikaios is also consulting companies on Company Corporate Governance.

Nora Dikaios prior to becoming a consultant derived her experience, as an owner, from growing the family business. From her position as the Vice President and Director of the Board of Frou Frou Public Company (2000-2008), in Cyprus, and the various subsidiary companies, she had to face all the resulting pressures of developing a professional team in Company Corporate Governance in various departments, resolving individual conflicts, managing business restructuring and culture change.

During her career Nora Dikaios held a number of executive management positions in the food industry as well as in subsidiary businesses dealing with property, investments and real estate. She has broad hands-on experience covering areas from strategic business planning to product development and production, sales and distribution, logistics, marketing and advertising. She has organised and led the launch of many new products in the food and confectionery industries.

She has worked closely with companies ranging from SMEs up to blue-chip multinationals such as Cadbury Plc in the UK and in Greece, Bolton Tai, Bolton Manitoba, Bolton Neutro Roberts in Italy, Lindt & Sprungli in Switzerland, Pez Austria, Quaker UK, Meiji Singapore, Hero Switzerland, Uniekass Int. Holland, Tate & Lyle UK, Bahlsen Germany, Stork Germany, Elbisco Greece, Haitoglou Brothers Greece, Minerva Oils Greece, Tulip Denmark and many more. She has also worked closely with trading companies in the Middle East.

Nora Dikaios is a Member of the Cyprus Federation of Business and Professional Women (B.P.W Cyprus), a Member of the Board of Directors of the IoD (Institute of Directors) Cyprus Branch, Founding member of Lioness Club Nicosia-Kyrenia, Founding member of Zonta Club Nicosia Region, Past member of Inner Wheel Club Nicosia – Ledra, Past member of the Cyprus Diplomatic Ladies’ League, Member of UNESCO Greece. Nora Dikaios was a Torch bearer for the Athens Olympic Games 2004.

STEPHANIE DIKAIOU
BA MARKETING, NLP MASTER COACH, BUSINESS CONSULTANT AND TRAINER

 

Stephanie has a degree in Marketing from Bentley University, in Massachusetts USA. She is also a Certified Master Coach in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP – the study of excellence) and has been trained by one of the Top Coaches' Trainers in the UK, Ian McDermott on NLP Coaching.

Her experience since 2000 includes Corporate Identity Building, Strategic Marketing Planning, Coaching and Training of individuals and teams.

Stephanie is also an entrepreneur. In 2005 she founded PowerImage Services Ltd / MISCO Cyprus, a company specializing in Human Resources services: Training and Development, HR Consulting, Personnel Selection & Recruitment, Executive Coaching, and HR Reports Publishing. As a Director in PowerImage/MISCO Cyprus she is involved in the strategic development of the business, consulting clients and providing outsourcing services on HR strategies and other HR needs, training groups, and coaching individuals.

As a trainer, she is confident, value-driven, enthusiastic and a dynamic professional, friendly, grounded and versatile. Stephanie is a conscientious and focused trainer, with varied experience of HR. She is especially skilled at creating a warm environment for delegates and at encouraging interactivity and participation. She is specialized on communication and interpersonal skills, coaching skills, team building, self-motivation, and customer care skills. During her training programmes she utilises her NLP knowledge and experience.

Stephanie is an approved Consultant and Trainer by the Cyprus Human Resources Development Authority. She delivers open training programmes as well as in-house (tailor-made) training programmes to organizations in the private, government, educational and other sectors, in Greek and English. She has delivered in-house training programmes to organizations such as KPMG, Marfin Laiki Bank, Deloitte, Group 4, TGI Fridays, Alfamega & Orphanides Supermarkets, Wilhelmsen Shipping, The Dpt of Merchant Shipping of the Ministry of Communication & Works, The Cyprus Higher Institute of Hotels, The University of Cyprus, MPM Group, Scan Seller, Xenion High Scool, School for the Blind, Α. Neocleous & Co LLC, The Nicosia General Hospital, Zorbas Bakeries, and many others. Her programmes have been attended by delegates of organizations of all hierarchy levels as well as entrepreneurs.

Furthermore, with a marketing background of over eight years she has an extensive experience in presenting on corporate identity and branding issues to groups such as sales teams, marketing staff, and employees who deal with visitors and prospective clients. Stephanie has also been involved in improving organisational approaches to people management and development.

As a Master NLP Coach she introduces coaching methods for the development of people’s effective performance in organizations and provides coaching services to individuals who would like to have a career ascend, or make a carrier move, to achieve their personal goals and have a fulfilled life.

She is also a Certified Professional Presence Specialist by the London Image Institute and conducts corporate and individual consultations, as well as seminars on Professional Presence.

Stephanie is the President of the Junior Chamber International Nicosia, a member of the Cyprus Human Resources Association, member of BPW Cyprus (Association of Business and Professional Women) and member of ICF (International Coach Federation).

JOSEPH F. X. ZAHRA

Joseph FX Zahra is a co-founder and Managing Director of MISCO (Market Intelligence Services Co. Ltd.), with special responsibilities for the People Management and Development Unit of the Company, Managing Director of MISCO International Ltd., and Director of Impetus Europe Consulting Group Ltd.

Joe graduated from University of Malta with a First Class Honours Degree in Economics (1976) and a Masters Degree in Economics (1979), specialising in Managerial Economics. He is also a Chartered Marketer, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, besides being a member of the Market Research Society (U.K.). He has attended and addressed numerous seminars on industrial development, managerial economics, financial services and management all over Europe as well as in North America. He is a fellow member of the Salzburg Seminar on “Technology and Structural Unemployment” (1986). In 2001 he has been granted Honorary Lifelong Membership in the Malta Institute of Management.

Joe Zahra, after having spent short spells with Lufthansa Ag. in their Head Office in Cologne, Germany, as an internal auditor (1975) and as a Personal Assistant to the General Manager of a Hawker Siddeley subsidiary in Malta (1977), joined the Malta Development Corporation as Head of Research (1978 – 1984). Since 1984 he has been a regular visiting lecturer at the University of Malta and the Universita’ degli studi di Messina teaching micro economics, management and Managerial Economics.

He has held various public positions including those of Secretary to the UNIDO National Committee (1978 –1984), member of the Malta Export Award Scheme (1979 – 1984), Board Member of the Central Bank of Malta (1992 – 1996), Board Member of the Malta Development Corporation (1995 – 1997), Chairman, Bank of Valletta plc (1998 – 2004), Chairman of Maltacom plc (2003), Chairman of the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts (2002-2003), Chairman, Middlesea Valletta Life Assurance Co. In June 2005, Joe Zahra was appointed by Government Chairman of the National Euro Changeover Committee. Since February 2006 he is also chairing the National Commission for Higher Education.

Joe Zahra has a keen interest in the visual arts and literature, being the author of a book of verse and a writer of plays. In 2006, the Malta Society for Manufacturers and the Arts granted him the Gold Medal Award for outstanding achievement in business and the arts.

LAWRENCE ZAMMIT
MA (ECON)

Lawrence Zammit is a Director of PowerImage/MISCO Cyprus and a Director of MISCO Malta, a Human Resources operation that was established in 1983 in Malta successfully providing HR services and Training Programmes to the business and professional sector.

Lawrence Zammit studied economics at the University of Malta where he graduated with Honours in 1976 and he then obtained an MA in 1980.

He has worked extensively in sales and marketing managementin both the manufacturing and services sectors. As such, he was responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies including marketing research, new product development and marketing communications.

The riches of Lawrence's practical board experience and know-how provides for a bounty of learning experiences for anyone attending a development programme run by him. He specialises in business strategy, management and marketing and has undertaken a variety of assignments, both in training and consultancy, for clients in the private and public sector. He conducts PowerImage/MISCO Cyprus training programmes on a regular basis on topics such as leadership, strategic change, culture change, communication, team building, marketing research and marketing communication at senior, middle and junior management levels.

The development of strategy, his deep understanding of best practice principles of board governance, innovative thinking and leadership make him a valuable member of the PowerImage/MISCO CyprusTraining Team and an asset to any organisation asking for his consultancy.

Lawrence's expertise in the field of Strategic Planning and Executive Development, both in Malta and overseas, has resulted in him being called upon to provide in-house training programmes and consultancy for numerous organisations in the private sector, to national Government Departments and to medium sized privately owned entrepreneurial enterprises.

At MISCO Malta, Lawrence Zammit has developed the market research division of the organisation and has directed a number of local and foreign research assingments. Such research projects include social surveys, consumer surveys, business-to-business research, product testing and pricing research.

ANTHONY CARABOTT
BA (HONS) BUSINESS MANAGEMENT

Anthony Carabott is General Manager of the MISCO organisation. He read Business Management at the University of Malta where he graduated with upper second class honours in 1989. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of MISCO International Ltd. The activities of these two companies incorporate Training, Recruitment, Consultancy, Business Reports and Marketing Research.

Anthony joined MISCo in 1989 as a Research Executive and was promoted to Research Manager in 1991. He worked extensively in all the activities of MISCO. In 1998, he was appointed General Manager of the company.

Anthony is a board member of the Water Services Corporation.

He has received extensive training in management, locally and abroad. He spent on-the-job training at the Middle East Marketing Research Bureau (MEMRB International) in Cyprus and attendend programmes organised by Tack Training International and the Market Research Society of the United Kingdom.

Anthony has worked for the Public Sector during his student days and was assigned duties at the then Public Works Department and Inland Revenue Department.

He also spent time working in a construction firm with other varied interests as an Accounts Clerk.

Anthony has designed and coordinated an extensive range of marketing research services for various prestigious local and international organisations, including multinationals and worldwide franchises. He has advised clients and provided recommendations of a marketing, distribution and operations nature.
